Project:
To develop a new product around defined internals for a desktop biometric reader.

Role:
- Project Leader
- Forecasting workload, timescales, key variables and end-of-phase deliverables;
- Ongoing liaison with client, across several departments of their business;
- Workload management, concept creation, presentation, technical development, new materials sourcing.

Process:
- Close interaction with client on market and technologies;
- Investigation of potential manufacturing techniques for a product only to manufactured in the thousands;
- Create and develop concepts, interim meetings with client to maintain involvement and maximise communication, further development and final presentation.
- Full engineering of concepts and the design of Pro/E CAD data for interim models, SLAs and final production tooling.

Outcome:
- Company recently floated on the stock market and is doing very, very well!
